New year, [Knew] you...

[Current Listening: Priest with balloons by TinyRuins and Lost boy by Ruth B.]            So much has happened, this is a lifepost for me, not an advice post. So I was accepted into nursing school in October, and things have been a whirlwind since then. I've had a best friend move away for school, holidays, getting ready for school, the new year, and now I've already finished one month of school. We have finals next week! Craziness. For anyone that wants to apply to nursing school, I'm more than open to a question forum for that. I feel like I've always wanted to go to nursing school and now to say that I'm a month into is surreal.           Let's talk about 2015; give one final goodbye. I've met my best friends this year. Gotten rid of friends that do not add positivity to my life. Figured out some people, no matter how long they've been in your life, they might not belong there anymore. I've let go of love, and found so...

Dear J♥

So I've received quite a few emails regarding my blog; readers asking relationship questions. I will do my best to answer all questions, starting with this post! [Currently listening: Stay with me by Sam Smith & Always Remember Me by Ry Cuming featuring Sara Bareilles] Dear Jessica,  I recently broke up with my boyfriend after 5 years. I have to say that it wasn't a bad relationship at all, but it just wasn't right for me. Of course, it was a messy breakup. It's now been a little over a year since we broke up and we do not speak at all. I still think of him from time to time and just wonder how he is doing. My question to you is: should I try and reach out to him after such a messy break-up, or should I just move on? Dear Reader, First of all, I want to thank you for reading my blog and reaching out to me! Now let's start answering your question. I do have to say, 5 years is a long time. It's not just a few months or a year, it's a big part ...

Has Social Media Ruined Us?

[Currently listening: Smother by Daughter, Tiger Striped Sky by Roo Panes, You There by Aquilo & Brooklyn Baby by Barfalk ]      I don't know about you, but I like to take my relationships slow. Go on a few dates, really get to know that person, maybe end up in a relationship, maybe end up as friends, but now days everything is so fast. This generation is used to Tinder, Facebook, Hot or Not, all social media sites that give you a fast hook up, and then its over. And we wonder why the relationship doesn't last, or wonder why we are single. I don't know about you, but I'm blaming social media.    When was the last time you started dating someone, and they actually picked up the phone AND CALLED YOU. They didn't send the impersonal text, "Hey, How R u?". Call me old fashioned, but I think we rely way too much on texting, facebook messenger, and tindering to communicate with others. I understand using a text as a way of communicating when the p...

& I hope I'm not the only one.

So this is my first post, and I want to sum up what I want my blog to accomplish. I want to search for the answers to questions I have been asking for forever. I know that many people have some of the same questions, and I'm here to think out loud with my input. In doing this, I want to tie in music by including which songs or quotes I relate to that certain post. I would like more than anything to help those who are struggling with relationship questions and how to manage life. So let's start: [Currently listening: "XO" by John Mayer, "Flowers in Your Hair" by The Lumineers, "Poison & Wine" by The Civil Wars, and "Edge of Desire" by John Mayer]          We have so many questions to answer in this life. What should I wear, what to eat, what college should I go to, what am I going to do for a career? These questions are always changed, and some will go unanswered. The question I've been battling rece...
