To whom it may concern; ♥

[Songs of the day: "Workin' on me" by Cole Swindell and "In case you didn't know" by Brett Young] This one is for my single girls, those who are dating or maybe even in a relationship. Don't settle. Don't let your happiness and shine be dulled by someone who isn't willing to give 100%, because if he isn't willing, there is someone else out there who IS... " Dear whom it may concern, You deserve the best. I mean it with all my heart, with all my   soul . A   soul   mate ; someone who we are beyond thrilled to meet. We are thrilled to know where we will meet them, how we will meet them and most importantly, what they are like. We wonder if we will meet them in college or in a place we aren’t even aware exists yet. In the absolutely cheesiest way possible, we are thrilled to know whose name will be beside ours on our wedding invitations, whose name will be beside ours on our child’s birth certificate, whose pillow will be b

Dear future husband ♥

[Currently listening: cherry wine by Hozier, terrible love by The National, breathe you in by Dierks Bentley] Dear Future Husband, On nights like tonight, the moon is full and bright while the stars shoot across the sky, and it's times like these that you are on my mind. There is that feeling in my soul that gives me butterflies on calm, warm summer nights...listening to the crickets chirp and the frogs croak; I wonder where you are. Although I am missing you on nights like this, I feel connected to you. I close my eyes, feel the breeze carry wisps of hair across my face, wishing that soft caress was your fingertips instead. While we live our two parallel lives, I know that you may be out in the world thinking these same thoughts, looking at the same full moon, wondering where I am too.  Our souls are connected, pulling at our heartstrings while guiding us slowly towards one another. There is a comfort knowing that you are out there, somewhere. Throu

Please; Let Me Down Easy ♥

[Currently listening: Hurt Somebody by Dierks Bentley //  Swan Song by A Fine Frenzy // Flyin' by Emerson Hart]                      I want to talk about a subject today that is being seen more and more commonly. It's happened to my friends, and it's happened to me more than once. It happened to me again and crushed me; absolutely. I'm not sure why this one was different..but we are talking about "ghosting". If you don't know the definition of this term, I don't blame you because it is relatively new for this generation. I think Urban Dictionary describes it best as:  "The act of suddenly ceasing all communication with someone the subject is dating,  but no longer wishes to date. This is done in hopes that the ghostee will just  "get the hint"  and leave the subject alone, as opposed to the subject simply telling them  he/she is no longer interested.  Ghosting is not specific to a certain gender and is closely re

The [wait] of the world.

Currently listening: [unlove you by jennifer nettles; when we were young by adele] Sometimes, I think that this might all be too much. What are we actually waiting for? Time? Love? Money? What actually makes you happy? Is happiness what we are all truly looking for?               "You will never be happy if you continue to search for what happiness consists of.                    You will never live if you are looking for the meaning of life." -Albert Camus I don't believe truer words to have ever been spoken. The reason for this post today..I received an email regarding happiness in life. In part, this email asked, "How are you so happy/how do you live such a full life?" I love questions like this because they are all perspective, honestly. I will not say that I do not live a full life, but what makes me happy? I will say that I am not happy ALL of the time. There are days that is world seems too much to handle, like I will never be enou

Let's talk PCOS

Image
So let's get away from the love subject for a second and jump into a health topic that I think is very important for women to be aware of: PCOS also known as Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome. It's an issue that I've been dealing with for a few years now and I've FINALLY got a handle on it, so I would like to share my information and treatments with women out there who might be struggling and frustrated as well. PCOS, from what I've learned, its not termed a "disease" because there are different ways of diagnosing it and different forms of severity. It's a frustrating topic since many women can have different signs and symptoms, and I don't think that western doctors are able to "treat" it. I took a more holistic approach...      If you're wondering if you have PCOS, here are some common symptoms that women may experience: weight gain, hirsutism (hair on chin, back, chest), thinning hair or hair loss, acne, difficultly gettin

New year, [Knew] you...

[Current Listening: Priest with balloons by TinyRuins and Lost boy by Ruth B.]            So much has happened, this is a lifepost for me, not an advice post. So I was accepted into nursing school in October, and things have been a whirlwind since then. I've had a best friend move away for school, holidays, getting ready for school, the new year, and now I've already finished one month of school. We have finals next week! Craziness. For anyone that wants to apply to nursing school, I'm more than open to a question forum for that. I feel like I've always wanted to go to nursing school and now to say that I'm a month into is surreal.           Let's talk about 2015; give one final goodbye. I've met my best friends this year. Gotten rid of friends that do not add positivity to my life. Figured out some people, no matter how long they've been in your life, they might not belong there anymore. I've let go of love, and found some too. Found myse

Self-love

Currently Listening: Die a Happy Man by Thomas Rhett & Love Myself by Hailee Steinfeld          So it's been a little over a year since I've started this blog. I haven't posted nearly as much as I would have liked, but I'm glad that the posts that I have written were able to help so many of you. I am going to try and post more, and answer your questions that have been sent in. I recently got accepted into nursing school, so that will take up much of my time, but I'm always available on email if needed!          In this post, I want to touch on self-love. I've spend most of this year talking to friends about relationships, but more than that, I've been stressing the importance of getting to know yourself and gaining confidence to just BE. I recently saw a post by Adele, that summed up pretty much what I feel and what I want you all to think about:       "I’ve felt like I’ve spent my while life so far wishing it away. Always wishing I
